In Commemoration of the Royal Naval Personnel who served at HMS Ringtail
Royal Naval Air Station Burscough which was operational on this site
between the 1st of September 1943 and the 18th of June 1946
for radar training and as a base for squadrons disembarking or working up
for shipboard operations during WW2

Each year an Armistice day ceremony is held at the monument on the 11th of November
The ceremony starts at 1045.am and everyone is welcome
The monument is located on a large grass verge off the Pippin Street Roundabout B5242 Burscough.
