The Royal Army Ordnance Corps, now the The Royal Logistical Corps.
In 1893 the Army Staff Corps and Army Store Corps took up residence in vacant linoleum mill in Burscough the property of the Ashton Brothers of Lancaster.
Staff equalled Officers senior Warrant Officers, Store equated to NCO’s and ranks.
The foreunner to the now established Corps was the Army Commisariatt Deptartment. Commanded by former Army officers in many cases at all levls of seniority, suplemented by civilian emplyees in the menial day to day role of sustaining the Army at home or on campaign.

This as was sustained until circa 1998 whence the staff / store cojoined, only to diversify almost immediatley seperating into two independant Corps.
Army Ordnance / Army Service Corps each under own structure and command. That was to sustain with distinction for twenty years through The Boer War The Great War. Then on the 25th November 1918 King George V granted both the Royal Warrant for their distinguished service during The Great War RAOC RASC.
Th diversification in 1898 neccesitated structural chnage of roles, the AOC predominantly took upon the Ordnance role, repair of Small Arms, Artillery, Gun Carriages Ammunition of all calibers, whilst the ASC undertook the supply both at home ad to the front lines.
Much of which was achived in both Corps with cooperation from ,The Artillery, itself in three distinctive branches. Royal Horse, Royal Field, Royal Garrison..
