Men from these villages, Burscough, Lathom, Westhead, Newburgh are all reflected upon the largest (numericalally) memorial here in what is now Burscough, since the boundary changes of 1972 when the Urban District Council was disolved.

Churches are an embodiement of social history, together with the (new social history heading) these additional pages will reflect the ‘Kith n Kin’ of those who served King & Country from the villages aforementioned. Whilst many also served their God or not, they saw fit to fight, for what was right.
